"So what are we going to do about it?” is the question I always ask in these books, my speeches, and blog posts. I like to rant as much as anyone, but in the end, I’m not into complaining about what’s wrong—I say let’s go make it right.

Check out the "Political Action Tools" page for practical resources you can use to "do something about it"

Encouraging Words

"Keep fighting for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce."

New Facebook Page Tells Cheney to Shut Up--but Why?

There's a new Facebook page that just went up yesterday and already has over 54,000 fans. The name of it is "Telling Dick Cheney to Shut the Hell Up". Probably the people (they refer to "we" but don't tell us who they are) who started it really wanted to use the f-word, but restrained themselves.

Personally, I hope Cheney keeps talking. Every time he opens his mouth, he digs himself and his party further and further into their already deep and murky hole. As one commenter on the fan page observed ironically, Cheney seems to think, "Maybe if I just keep repeating the same lie, it will suddenly become true."

Well, that strategy surely worked for most of the long and treacherous (in all senses of the word) Bush II administration. So it's not crazy of Cheney to think it will continue to work. But fortunately it won't. The American people have at last awakened.

So let the man keep talking. Because it'll help us stay awake so that the snarling, angry, power-mad Cheney and his ruthless right-wing ilk won't be able to once again snag the reins of power.

Have a good Memorial Day Weekend.

"Personally, I hope Cheney keeps talking. Every time he opens his mouth, he digs himself and his party further and further into their already deep and murky hole." Sort of like you mocking young women with alternative views to yourself as you did on the O'Reilly show hosted by Laura Ingraham? The nerve of a hate-filled woman such as yourself to write such vomit....Really, you are just a vile, vile person.

Seems like your words define yourself more than they define me. However, for my other readers, I am sharing these lines fro Charles Blow's column May 23--seems my opinion is pretty mainstream, for even though you may retort Blow writes for the New York Times, his stock in trade is data not mere opinion:

"In 1984, Ronald Reagan won every Northeastern state. Since then, the leadership of the G.O.P. has systematically shed its idealists in favor of ideologues, reducing itself to the current Cheney-Limbaugh illusionati whose strategy is to exploit faith and ignorance by fanning fear and hatred."

Here's the link to the rest of the column with supporting data: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/23/opinion/23blow.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=charles%20blow%20+%20cheney&st=cse

Nearly everyone in internet marketing is talking about how great it is to make money with articles. And it's true, articles are an awesome and easy way to make money online. And the best part is, there is more than one way to do it.

Tucked away in our timberland for you subconscious is an idyllic vision. We see ourselves on a long trip that timberland 6 inch spans the continent. We are traveling by train. Out timberland hiking boots windows, we drink in the passing scene of cars on nearby highways, of children timberland shoe company waving at a crossing, of cattle grazing on a distant timberland boots hillside, of smoke pouring from a power plant, of row upon row of corn and wheat.
